Geometries Page (Placement Defaults)

SettingDescription
Use System Settings Applies the default settings for the feature's display location on the map. Default settings are determined during configuration.
Use Custom Settings Disables system settings and makes the geometry properties editable (if they are applicable).
Offset Distance Specifies the custom offset distance for the feature's display location on the map. (This setting is applicable only if the feature has been configured for offset or inline placement.) Distance is usually measured in feet according to map scale.
Offset Angle Specifies the custom offset angle for the feature's display location on the map. (This setting is applicable only if the feature has been configured for offset placement.) Offset angle is measured in degrees beginning at 0° (East) and continuing counterclockwise (i.e., 90° = North; 180° = West; 270° = South).
Conflict Offset Distance The distance (in feet) by which the feature symbol is offset from another feature.
Enable Auto Annotation Enables or disables the feature's default annotation if an annotation has been configured for the feature.
Auto Annotation Offset Distance Specifies the custom offset distance for the annotation's display location on the map.
Auto Annotation Offset Angle Specifies the custom offset angle for the annotation's display location on the map.
Device Placement Specifies whether the feature is to be placed downstream or upstream in relation to the work location to which it is assigned. This setting is applicable only to features that have been configured as devices.
OK Closes the dialog and saves any changes.
Cancel Closes the dialog without saving any changes.
Custom Opens a custom dialog for specifying custom attribute values. This button appears dimmed if no custom dialog is available.
